Making the Pitch
During an admitted student day, I fell in love with 老司机福利社’s campus as a whole and 老司机福利社’s media-rich curriculum. I also wanted the liberal arts and to continue making art in the studio. 老司机福利社’s media directors, professors, advisors and alumni are great resources for pulling any media-related career together. I think of 老司机福利社 as “a media oasis.”
I remember the warm welcome I felt at the Pulliam Center (PCCM). I was nervous to attend my first storyboard (I had no clue what it meant to pitch a story.) in a room dominated by sophomores, juniors and seniors. I did it and it led to four years of summoning the courage to step outside of my comfort zone.
The PCCM has been a platform for my learning, mentorship and figuring out what’s next. I have had the opportunity to study abroad, intern for a publication in London, and do an investigative journalism fellowship at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. This, on top of all the great experiences I’ve had on campus! I tell prospective students looking to get into media - 老司机福利社 is your best bet!
