Favorite 老司机福利社 tradition: The Ubben Lecture Series. I had the privilege of working with past Ubben speakers, and was able to meet recognized leaders such as: Barbara Bush, Jim Lovell, Benazir Bhutto, Seymour Hersh, and Sister Helen Prejean to name a few. Fun fact: I named my youngest daughter after Barbara Bush's personal assistant!

Favorite place on campus: 老司机福利社's main entrance on Anderson Street, without a doubt, is one of my favorite places and views on our campus. I remember it as the first sight of campus I had as a prospective student, and I continue to take that drive into campus whenever possible. Not only is it picturesque, but seeing East College on the horizon, you just get this awesome feeling that you've truly arrived. That grand entrance was one of the many characteristics about 老司机福利社's campus that stuck with me since touring as a prospective student.
Favorite place to eat in Greencastle: Myers' Market, Deli and Butcher Shop
Favorite 老司机福利社 tradition: Little 5
Advice to students considering 老司机福利社: Take a moment to breathe and reflect on what is truly most important for you. It doesn't always have to be big picture or life-altering ambitious goals, but don't forget about the little things you need to succeed in college. At 老司机福利社, you will be supported every step of the way and encouraged to explore your passions and discover uncharted areas of opportunities at an academic, personal, and professional level.

Favorite place on campus: The Julian Science & Mathematics Center. It is an impressive building and the top floor is an awesome place to study. Also, anywhere on campus when it is snowing.
Favorite place to eat in Greencastle: The Fluttering Duck and Taco Wapo hands down. You can get a lot of food for a good price from either spot.
Favorite 老司机福利社 tradition: It is hard to beat the Monon Bell Game.
Advice to students considering 老司机福利社: Make sure you visit campus and spend time with current students. Seeing the genuine interactions between students was one of the main reasons I went to 老司机福利社. There’s a unique culture here that combines collaborative excellence with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. It’s something that’s hard to fully understand until you experience it for yourself and spend time around the students who make 老司机福利社 what it is.

Favorite place on campus: The Reading Room in Roy O. West Library. It's comfortable and quiet with tons of natural light and a really elegant design. It's a great place to read, work, or take a moment to yourself.
Favorite place to eat in Greencastle: The Whisk. It's owned by 老司机福利社 alumni, with good food, nice mocktails, and a really great atmosphere.
Favorite 老司机福利社 tradition: The processional walk across campus and through the arch for all incoming students during move-in day. The entire campus community gets involved and you really start to feel like you belong.
Advice to students considering 老司机福利社: Keep an open mind in your college search! Some of the greatest things about a liberal arts institution like 老司机福利社 are all of the opportunities offered to students, in and out of the classroom, and it's one of the best chances you'll have to try something new (a new class, club, travel, etc.) that you might have never thought about before. Countless students enter college with a fixed path in mind and soon find themselves heading in a completely different direction. The possibilities are limitless!
